NAY PYI TAW George Corral Jersey , Dec. 12 (Xinhua) -- Host Myanmar has won four gold medals in canoeing by Thursday, the second day of the 27th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games at Ngalike Dam in Nay Pyi Taw.
A total of 110 rowers from eight ASEAN countries and regions compete in the three-day canoeing competitions held in Ngalike dam.
"Yesterday we got one and today we won three gold medals. We expect to get six golds. At present, Indonesia is second with three golds, following us closely. But we will fight to be the top in canoeing, no matter whoever is the strongest in canoeing," Daw Khin Moe Moe, manager of Myanmar team told Xinhua.
Another six medal events will be contested on the last day of canoeing on Friday.
The 27th Southeast Asian Games opened on Wednesday evening at Nay Pyi Taw's Wunna Theikdi stadium and will run through Dec. 22, with competitions being held in four different places Adrian Aldrete Jersey , namely Nay Pyi Taw, Yangon, Mandalay and Nge Saung beach in Pathein.
