Winandy, et al. 2004, concluded that all this huge amount of consumed wood could be substituted by WPC. In addition, the U.S. fencing market was divided into 45% wood, 44% metal, 7% plastic and 5% other material. It was calculated at $US 2.6 billion in 2002 and was expected to grow approximately 5% per year and therefore a great potential of WPC domination was expected .
