Brewers Official Bruce Seid Dies - RealGM Wiretap
Milwaukee Brewers scouting director Bruce Seid Womens Josh Norman Jersey , 53, died suddenly Tuesday night while visiting his family in Las Vegas.
Milwaukee named Seid their director of amateur scouting on Nov. 11, 2008, after his predecessor, Jack Zduriencik, left to become the general manager of the Seattle Mariners.
Seid joined the Brewers as an amateur scout in 1997, spending nine seasons as an area scout and two as a regional cross-checker before his promotion to director.
Ortiz Extends Hitting Streak To 25 Games - RealGM Wiretap
Boston Red Sox designated hitter David Ortiz has extended his career-long hitting streak to 25 games, dating back to last season.
Ortiz has also reached base in 33 straight games, another career high.
"I've been a hitter my whole life," he said. "It's not like I'm doing anything new. Same routine -- I haven't changed anything."
Ortiz is hitting .440.473.840 with four home runs and 17 RBI in just 13 games. He started the season on the disabled list.
Machado Set To Return For Orioles - RealGM Wiretap
Manny Machado has left his rehab assignment with Class-A Frederick to join the Baltimore Orioles.
The Orioles are slated to host the Pittsburgh Pirates for the first of a two-game series, although there's rain in the forecast all day and night.
Machado played for Frederick over the weekend. He has been rehabbing back from offseason left knee surgery after a season-ending injury suffered in late September, and he was brought along slowly this spring before a setback while running the bases slowed his timetable.

It was reported last week that Ervin Santana will seek a $100 million contract this winter.
Santana's agents at Proformance have prepared a binder full of statistical comparisons to make the case for the right-hander.
One of the comparisons was Santana and Zack Greinke in the three seasons before they reached free agency.
Greinke had a 3.83 ERA in that period, a 106 ERA-plus and a ratio of 1.215 walks and hits per innings pitched (WHIP). Santana, in a comparable number of innings, had a 3.85 ERA, a 101 ERA-plus and 1.208 WHIP.
